The term "API Free" became popular when referring to the Twitter API. It means that no fees are charged at all to use the API. Some companies however call themselves "API Free" but they actually only cover their expenses with a very small fee.
API free is a term used to describe the ability to run software applications on a device or operating system that does not have the API to support such applications. A device running API-free software is not capable of supporting or running applications that require API to run. Rising fuel prices and car insurance costs are among the biggest worries of UK motorists, according to a new survey. Research by comparison website Confused.com also revealed that 76 percent believe that insurance companies need to be more transparent about the costs behind the policies they sell.
