Idrostop is a flexible, soft prefabricated strip with an acrylic polymer base that was created specifically to provide waterproof construction joints up to 5 atm of hydraulic pressure. Bentonite is not present in idrostop. Idrostop gradually expands when in constant contact with water due to its chemical makeup, acting as an active barrier against pressured water (positive and negative).
