CFSS Consultation Services are offered to current home care clients who are seeking a better delivery model. They will provide information about CFSS and help them create Service Delivery Plans. If desired, these services can also help participants to purchase goods and services. The Consultation Services provider will assess the functional needs of the client and recommend an effective care delivery model.

CFSS Consultation Services are billed at the current Consultation Service Hourly Rate or annual subscription fee for the services rendered. Typically, there is a minimum of one hour for remote diagnostics and eight hours for on-site services. Diagnostics rendered outside of the service period are not covered.

PCA agencies will continue to exist. In addition, under the new guidelines, the spouse or parent of a minor may serve as a support worker. The state will also allocate budgets to train new support workers. Additionally, existing agencies may choose to become CFSS Consultation Services providers or financial management services agencies.

In order to provide CFSS Consultation Services, agencies must have a contract with DHS. An RFP will be published in the future. At that time, interested agencies can apply. In addition, the CFSS Implementation Council will meet quarterly, in March, June, September, and December. These meetings will include public comment periods.

CFSS Consultation Services are offered to individuals and families living in Minnesota. They offer superior customer service and adhere to the state's rules and regulations. These services are offered through a web-based system that has HIPAA-secure data management. They also provide individualized services and offer assistance with planning and writing CFSS protocols and plans.
