The outer layer of the upper part of the teeth is made of enamel tissue, and the bottom is made of yellow dentin tissue. The tooth contains pulp tissue, which is also known as nervous tissue, and consists of vessels, nerves, and connective tissue giving the tooth its vitality. Through canals in the root, the pulp extends to the tip, where it joins to the body’s primary neurological and circulatory systems. The process of removing the pulp from the root of the tooth, treating the root canals, and filling these areas with filling materials is called canal treatment.
