Finding Excess Licenses with LabStats 

With an astonishingly simple interface and easy usage, finding excess software has never been easier. Follow the steps below:

·        Open the Power BI dashboard template 

·        Select the second tab - ‘Peak Concurrent Application Usage’ 

·        Tap on the column header ‘Application Utilization’ of the usage table

·        Sort results in descending order

·        The applications on top are the least used software 

You can also view usage by groups with LabStats. Click on peak concurrent usage by group on the dashboard, which is the third tab. Once again, sort the list in descending order by peak user count and then click on the application column in the title to see a breakdown of usage by groups. Tap on any group to view the activity.

By finding software that is unused, you can make informed decisions to eliminate them or renegotiate license renewals on favorable terms to save costs.
