The doctoral student will enrol in small seminars or pursue independent research to take advanced courses in their area of interest. Three to four tough semesters of full-time study are typically required for the courses. After completing the curriculum, the Doctoral applicant must pass a written and/or oral Doctoral qualifying test to demonstrate that they have the background required to move on to the independent research portion of the programme.
