Madden NFL 24 acknowledges that it made a refereeing error in Washington-New york game
There was some debate on Sunday night when at the conclusion of the game , an official was mistakenly signaling for a first down and moved the chains. The chains were repositioned in the next play and changed to fourth down. Madden NFL 24 vice president of officiating Dean Blandino said the crew committed a mistake and should have stopped the play to fix the issue.
"In the situation in which there is clear confusion regarding the state of the down, play should be stopped prior to third down and the correct down should have been communicated to both teams. It should have happened regardless of Washington had no timeouts , and the time was within of two minutes."
Jay Cutler "week-to-week"
Jay Cutler is reportedly targeting the Week 14 start date for his return from his ankle injury, but his status for next Monday isn't expected until later in the week. Bears manager Marc Trestman said Cutler remains "week-to-week."
The Bears are expected to return to training on Thursday and Cutler's involvement degree could go a long way in determining how he'll be playing against Dallas. If he's able to practice, even in limited fashion then he may be ready to go back on Monday. If not, it may be Josh McCown getting another start for the Bears.
McCown has been a good player for Chicago But Cutler's absence is evident across the board. The Bears score an average of 29 points per game when they play games Cutler begins and 22.8 PPG when they are started by McCown.
