About this product

Gomphrena globosa, commonly known as globe amaranth, is an edible plant from the family Amaranthaceae. The round-shaped flower inflorescences are a visually dominant feature cultivars have been propagated to exhibit shades of magenta, purple, red, orange, white, pink, and lilac. Within the flowerheads, the true flowers are small and inconspicuous. As a tropical annual plant, G. globosa blooms continuously throughout summer and early fall. It is very heat tolerant and fairly drought resistant, but grows best in full sun, regular moisture. To propagate globe amaranth from seed, you can follow these steps: Sow seeds directly in the garden after the last spring frost date or start seeds indoors 6-8 weeks before the last frost. Soak the seeds for a day if starting indoors. Germinate the seeds at a temperature of 70-77°F (21-25°C), in the dark. Transplant the seedlings into the garden following the last frost. Plant the seedlings 8 inches apart. Gomphrena Globosa Plant Seeds Cuc Bach nhat
