Before you enter the realm of Elyon, you Elyon Gold will have to select your character's character type out of the available choices. While other factors such as appearance, race, and gender don't affect your character's game-play performance, their class will be an important factor in determining their game playstyle.
Do you wish to take on adversaries from a distance or do you prefer combat in close proximity? Do you want to become an effective spellcaster, or do you prefer to support your friends? Do you prefer to focus on DPS or build your character as tank? Fortunately, Elyon has enough classes that can be adapted to any playstyle.
This is a quick overview of each class to help decide.
Archer
The Archer is among two classes with a range, and concentrates on causing damage to a few people. Although it has skills that can target numerous enemies, the Archer excels when it is able to focus on just a few opponents at time. time. The Archer excels against larger opponents, since their abilities will have a greater likelihood of hitting their target. Additionally, larger enemies can take a lot of damage by the individual arrows fired by the skills.
The Archer is capable of creating the illusion of distance between themselves and their enemies but they're not as robust as the melee classes. Without another partner to draw enemy fire, Archers are vulnerable to attack from enemies. Helping other classes by using their ranged DPS toquickly bring down targets is what an Archer does best.
Slayer
The Slayer is one of the melee classes that specialize at melee DPS. With large swords in their hands, they are frontline attackers that can mow down entire groups of enemies. They are also strong enough to stand up to attack from enemies. A Slayer's weapon is large enough to strike multiple enemies at once, but they also have skills designed to strike a specific enemy. Their defenses are strong enough to serve the purpose as a tank, but the Slayer works best when it brings an enemy down as fast as it can.
Wielding a large sword means that the Slayer's speed of attack is slow, and certain skills may require several seconds to complete. Slayers also don't have a way to close long distances in a short time, which means they could be forced to chase attackers from a distance. If you're looking for a class with strong defense and durability it is impossible to go wrong choosing the Slayer.
Warlord
The Warlord is a melee class that is able to fight many enemies at once. Contrary to the Slayer and the Slayer, the Warlord is an offensive melee character. The Warlord draws the attention of enemies to themselves as well as give other allies breathing space, while hitting enemies with a hefty.
A Warlord could provoke buy Elyon Gold adversaries and force them to the same spot. This is ideal to plan attacks for the Warlord or any other allies. With the ability to take on multiple enemies at once the Warlord can keep opponents occupied and competent to hold their own during battle.
Warlords will require much healing since they're constantly facing attacking enemies. They also won't reach the DPS numbers you'd find with an Elementalist or Slayer. It is a good thing that being able to resist attacks from enemies, in addition to drawing shots from enemies makes the Warlord class a great choice for players who are starting out.
