Evaluating your Cumulative Grade Point Average Commonly known as CGPA is crucial in tracking academic performance. CGPA is often arrived at by taking the total of grade points attained from all courses a student has sat through in their entire course of study. The overall course grade is further broken down into a series of point values for each area, typically from 0 to 4 or 5 based on the grading system of the institution. The grade points for each course are then added and the total is divided by the total number of courses attempted which gives the CGPA.
