Sardar Udham Singh was an Indian revolutionary and freedom fighter who is best known for assassinating Sir Michael O'Dwyer he former Lieutenant Governor of the Punjab, in revenge for the Jallianwala Bagh massacre of 1919. Born on 26 December 1899 in Sunam, Punjab, he was one of the most prominent figures in the Indian independence movement.
