Draft 2013: Dallas Cowboys linked with Sylvester Williams

The unpredictable nature of the Madden NFL 23 Draft, it's difficult to know which prospects will be outside of the top selections. This may not be the case for the Dallas Cowboys their pick this year, since Dallas has strong connections to offensive tackle Sylvester Williams.

but many believe that he'll be off the board prior to Dallas selecting. Safety could be a greater necessity for the Cowboys, but Williams would fit nicely on the Dallas defense.

Dallas is shifting to a defensive 4-3 scheme this year which is why Williams could give the Cowboys the versatility of a defensive tackle to add to their arsenal. The Cowboys have talent on their defensive line, with Jay Ratliff and Jason Hatcher who are currently scheduled to start as defensive tackle. Both players, however, will be 31 heading into training camp, and there's not much of depth around them.

When he played during his time at North Carolina, Williams flashed the potential to become an effective player. He is known for his speed off the ball, as well as his raw strength. He's still a novice pass rusher , and was a bit tired later in games, however Williams might be able to make an immediate impact in a rotational role before evolving into a full-time position further down the line.

SB Nation ranked Williams as the No. 5 defensive tackle prospect in the draft and the number. 35 overall. Williams isn't expected to be selected in the first round of Dan Kadar's latest mock draft, however that could hinge on where Vaccaro decides to go. Kadar suggests the Cowboys taking Vaccaro during the initial round. If Vaccaro disappears from the board prior to Dallas makes their selections,
