The NJLA offers a comprehensive Japanese language course in Delhi that delves into a fascinating array of lesser-known facts about the language and culture. In this course, students will uncover intriguing insights, such as the fact that Japanese has three writing systems: Kanji, Hiragana, and Katakana, each serving unique purposes. Furthermore, students will be captivated to learn that Japanese is an agglutinative language, meaning that complex words and concepts can be formed by combining smaller, meaningful units. The course will also reveal the intricacies of Japanese honorifics, where different expressions of respect are used depending on social context. Moreover, participants will discover the importance of context and non-verbal communication in Japanese culture, as well as the significance of seasonal words, or “kigo,” in traditional poetry.
